Jodhpur

This bustling desert city is the second largest city in Rajasthan after
Jaipur and has landscape dominated by the massive Meherangarh Fort topping
a sheer rocky ridge. The old city is fenced by 10 km long wall with eight
Gates leading out of it. The new city is outside the walled city. Rao Jodha,
a chief of the Rathore clan, founded the city in 1459 and it is named after
him.

Nainital

Nainital is a town in the Indian state of Uttaranchal and headquarters of
Nainital District in the Kumaon foothills of the outer Himalaya. Situated
at an altitude of 1938 m (6,350 ft) above sea-level, Nainital is set in
a valley containing a pear-shaped lake, approximately 2 miles in circumference,
and surrounded by mountains, of which the highest are Naina (2615 m) on
the north, Deopatha (2438 m) on the west, and Ayarpatha (2278 m) on the
south.

Shimla India

Nestled in the middle Himalayas in northern India, Shimla is a hill station
destination much beloved by honeymooners and other tourists, particularly
in summer. Shimla district is located in the middle western ranges of the
Himalayas. This region has a hilly terrain and has an uneven cover of evergreen
pine forests. The Shimla city spreads over the hill at an average altitude
of 2000 meters (roughly 6500 feet) above mean sea level.
Udaipur

Udaipur is known as the Venice of the east. It is also called the city of
lakes. The Lake Palace on Jag Niwas Island in the middle of Pichola Lakes
is the finest example of its architectural and cultural explosion. The grand
City Palace on the banks of the lake compliments the palace along with the
Monsoon Palace (Sajjan Garh) on the hill above. Udaipur is also the centre
for performing arts, craft and its famed miniature paintings.The Shilp Gram
festival is a center of attraction during the season.
Varanasi

The name Varanasi is found in the Mahabharata, and explained as derived
from a dvandva compound of varana and asi, the Varuna River, to the north,
and the Assi River, to the south, both tributaries of the Ganges. The name
Varanasi is spelt as "baranasi" in Pali, which eventually led
to the form "banaras". "Banaras" is the Prakrit form
of the Sanskrit "Varanasi". "Benares" and "Benaras"
are variant spellings of Banaras used during the British rule in India.
"Banaras" for Varanasi is still widely used.
